The business began in a 12,500 sq. ft. hangar but it was not long after that the success of the company led to the necessity for new construction of a 15,500 sq. ft. main facility. Kansas Aviation now operates using both facilities located only feet apart.

In 1998 Kansas Aviation was selected by General Electric to become an authorized CJ610/CF700 engine accessory overhaul facility. In addition, Kansas Aviation is a recognized distributor for Stewart Warner, and a Pratt & Whitney approved overhaul shop.

KAI specializes in the overhaul and repair of oil/air/fuel related engine accessories on the PT6A, PT6T, PW100, PW300, JT15D, CJ610, CF700, Allison 250, CF34 and PW901 engines. Our focus is to provide friendly, fast and flexible service to all of our aviation friends.

After viewing our capabilities list, it is obvious why Kansas Aviation of Independence can serve such a large group of customers from regional air carriers and major engine overhaul shops in the U.S, Canada, and the European Community.

Additionally, we maintain an exchange pool consisting of all accessories on our capabilities to fulfill our customer’s A.O.G. requirements.
